In the near future, Europe may arise in Europe - and this has nothing to do with Moscow threats to block the possibility of flying over the Russian Federation. Collapse can occur due to a volcano in Iceland.
From 3 p.m. Saturday, August 16, the Icelandic meteorological service recorded about 2800 earthquakes in the area of the Vulcan Bardarbung, located in the south of the country. 950 of them fell on Monday, August 18, starting from midnight in local time (4:00 in Moscow), Visir reports.
Scientists have raised the level of danger of eruption to the penultimate, "orange". The authorities blocked several roads in the volcano area and sent warnings about a possible eruption to local airlines.
The strongest impetus was recorded on August 18 - the analysis showed that his magnitude was 4.5 points.
Recall that in 2010, the eruption of the volcano under the Icelandic glacier Eyufyadlayokyudl for many days paralyzed the air traffic in the sky over most of Europe and turned into colossal losses for airlines.
Bardarbung is also a ice volcano, located under the cap of the largest Icelandic Vatnayokudl glacier in the southeast of the island. The last major eruption of the volcano was recorded in 1477, the last minor eruptions were in 1910.
