
. . .On August 26, 1999, the club “Chinese pilot Jao Yes” opened in the basement in the Lubyansky passage. Over the next fifteen years, the quiet family enterprise of actor Alexei Papernaya and his mother Irina Borisovna turned into an institution with a story by which you can make a movie. Emir Kusturitsa danced here with a guitar, Manu Chao was drunk to unconscious, Kaiser Chiefs played their first foreign concert for a hundred dollars, and the TV presenter Dmitry Dibrov performed with a solo cover project “Rom and Pepsi-Cola”. The club organized wild even by current standards of the festivals - “Dances”, “Dudks”, the Festival of Street Musicians - and took part in the theater Olympiad Vyacheslav Polunin.
On August 23, the Chinese pilot will celebrate its 15th anniversary in the Museum of the Chinese Festival “Pilot. Dancing. Puffs ".
