According to the State Committee for Social and Economic Monitoring of Tatarstan, in 2013, every sixth resident in the republic encountered corruption (16.3% versus 15% in 2012), the average bribe increased (from 25.8 thousand rubles to 34. 5 thousand rubles), as well as the intensity of everyday corruption (the average number of bribes per year per bribe-giver from 1.6 times to 1.8). The annual turnover of everyday corruption in Tatarstan, according to the study, was estimated in 2013 at 23.3 billion rubles. Compared to 2012, it increased 1.5 times, by almost 9 billion rubles. In the field of business corruption, in 2013 the scope and average size of a bribe decreased, but the frequency of bribes per bribe giver increased - up to 2.1 times a year (in 2012 - 1.3 times), which ensured an increase in the volume of the business corruption market from 8 .2 billion rub. up to 9.6 billion rubles. The total volume of bribes in Tatarstan, according to the study, could amount to at least 33 billion rubles, which is one and a half times higher than in the previous period.

On August 18, at a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Council under the President of Tatarstan, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan, Chief of Police Rafail Gilmanov reported on the structure of identified corruption crimes (445 in total): in matters of real estate disposal - 164, in control and licensing activities - 87, in in the field of education - 48, in military conscription - 40, in healthcare - 12.

On July 19, the government of Tatarstan approved a program for the implementation of anti-corruption policy for 2015-2020 worth 26.7 million rubles. It sets the task of reducing the scope of business corruption in the region by 1.2 percentage points - it is expected that by 2020 the proportion of entrepreneurs who will find themselves in corruption situations will decrease to 13.7%. Control over the implementation of the program is entrusted to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic.
