We met Anton almost three years ago. He then said that he has cancer in the terminal stage and he would definitely die within a year. He said as if it were something completely ordinary and not requiring much attention, he told and immediately switched to discussing some of our then project, an exhibition, or something. I was then surprised how you can relate to such a situation.
Two years have passed since then. His struggle with cancer was an example of the resistance and willpower, which I had never met before. Always logical actions, thought out from all sides, from fundraising and public dialogue with people to communicating with clinics and a detailed understanding of the medical part of the matter - with all the horrors, pain, complicated procedures and other problems associated with such severe illness, he led the project to combat cancer so as no healthy person could.
Knowledge in his head in his 30 years on the problems of transport and medicine in Russia would be enough to carry out reforms in two ministries at once. And he could definitely carry them out with his approach to business.
On the history of his struggle with the disease, you can safely make a film. I am sure that thousands of people what they wrote will help to overcome their life difficulties and inspire to also deal with their problems, and not lie and whine with thoughts about how everything is bad and how life is unfair to them.
He kept a sense of humor to the very end. When I was in his hospital, it seemed that a dude, well, not to jokes already. But he continued to talk about his vicissitudes so that together we sometimes laughed for several minutes, as if it were a story about something distracted, and not about a dying person from the first person. I caught myself several times thinking that, probably, laughter is inappropriate here, but he continued ironic stories about doctors and nurses, about prospects and previous adventures ...
Even the last record on his Facebook was such
“Dear friends! It's me. I have such news, with a probability of 99% next week I will be in the cold twilight of the morgue. And a week later in a bright hot flame in the crematorium. We agreed and planned with Masha that we will have two children next summer. Thanks for the support for what you provided me. Without it, it would be much more complicated to me. Thanks again! With such friends you can think of the future. Buslov Anton, August 17, 2014, 18:03, New York, Presbterian Hospital "
He never ached and did not complain, fought and did everything he could. He was an incredible person, I am glad that I managed to get to know him.
I’ll leave a few videos with Anton from our exhibition a year and a half ago.
