Rospotrebnadzor: McDonalds's checks do not have a political background

Checks of the restaurants of the McDonald's network are planned and do not have political background. According to Interfax, this was stated by the chief sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova.

"Inspections do not have absolutely no political nature. A number of different legal entities united only by the brand are checked. Russian consumers have every right to receive high -quality and safe food at any public catering point," Popova explained.

According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, the inspection plan was formed last fall and is available on the department’s website.

Checks of the McDonald's restaurants began on Wednesday. In Moscow, due to a violation of the "sanitary rules", four network establishments were temporarily closed. On Thursday, the audits spread to other regions. Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor examined restaurants in 17 regions of central Russia. Violations of sanitary standards were identified in the restaurants of the network in Veliky Novgorod and Kazan. Also, unscheduled checks of the McDonalds take place in Bashkiria. On Friday, representatives of the department proceeded to inspections of restaurants in the regions of the Southern Federal District.
