
The Donbass Arena stadium in Donetsk underwent partial destruction as a result of a bomb, said the general director of the Donetsk football club Shakhtar Sergey Palkin on his Facebook page .
“Today at 6 o’clock in the morning one bomb hit the Donbass Arena, and the other in the energy center near the stadium,” wrote Palkin, who also posted several photographs in which traces of damage were visible.
The report on the official website of the stadium says that none of the employees was injured.
As a result of the hits, numerous damage to the north-western facade of the stadium, communications, equipment and a separate building of the energy center located in the northern part of the Donbass Arena park notes, R-Sport notes.
