The founder of the largest Russian Internet company, Yandex, Arkady Volozh, has been leaving the post of its general director, which he has occupied since 2000. At the same time, he will remain the head of the global Yandex.

On September 1, the general director of Yandex will be Alexander Shulgin, working in the company financial director, Arkady Volozh said in an interview with Forbes.ru .

“I always searched and prepared a new generation of managers. - commented the founder of Yandex. - He [Alexander Shulgin] came in 2010 as CFO , and ... for a long time not just a financial manager, he has been engaged in products for more than a year. <...> And now he agreed to take on this large load of management of the company. ”

Arkady Volozh is not going to leave Yandex: “As he answered, I will continue to be responsible for Yandex. Both in general, and in certain areas. But to a greater extent I will engage in new markets and new business models. ”

When asked whether there will be any changes in the Yandex policy in connection with personnel permutations, Volozh answered abstractly, noting that “perhaps some procedural changes will be” in the internal processes of the company.
