The leader of the “Time Machine” group Andrei Makarevich filed an open letter to President Vladimir Putin, in which he asks him to “stop the Sabbath, discrediting his name”.

The charity concert, which Makarevich, at the invitation of the Foundation of Volunteers of Ukraine, gave on August 12 in the Svyatogorsk monastery for children-refugees from Donetsk and Lugansk, caused a wave of criticism in Russia by representatives of the public and cultural figures.

The State Duma deputies joined criticism, one of whom even suggested depriving the musician of all state titles and awards, since he "went over to the side of the enemies of the Russian Federation." In response, the leader of the “Time Machine” stated that he was ready to defend his honor and dignity in court.

The letter of Makarevich Putin was published on the website of the newspaper Moscow Komsomolets .
