“It is necessary to limit access to large screens of those paintings in which it is frankly demonized or primitively and went to stun everything related to Russia, with Russian culture. I think that in the year of the culture that takes place in our country, the formulation of such a question is more appropriate than ever, ”Senator ITAR-TASS quoted.
Khasikov noted that "the selection criteria for film distribution should not block access to Russia of really talented paintings from abroad."
“It would be stupid to speak out against films in which true, universal values are promoted from other countries,” he explained. But “if the picture is based on nothing to do with reality, in which the Russians' whim of a screenwriter or director lies with a threat to humanity, then such films are unlikely to be worthy of receiving a rental certificate and the possibility of spreading in our country,” Khasikov added.
Also, a member of the Council drew attention to the need to form an image of a patriot of Russia in modern domestic cinema. He cited as an example the films “Legend No. 17”, “We are from the future”, “Brest fortress”, “9th company” and others.
