Against whom?

Human rights activist Elena Sannikova is horrified of what is happening to us with everyone. In March, tens of thousands of Muscovites took to the streets against the war with Ukraine. Today, most of them on one of the parties at least in their souls and stand for war before victory. And yesterday’s opposition comrade, and just a friend can easily be found with weapons in the hands of the enemy.

Sannikova wonders: why did we let the war capture us, to involve us? And not just a war, but a civil war. What happened to us? And it happened to us with everyone: the Kremlin clique unleashed a war in which the position “over the fight” becomes impossible.

Firstly, because this war has an obvious driver, an aggressor state called the Russian Federation. Why did the East of Ukraine, who does not accept the "Westernists" and does not want to live under their power, did not rebel after the victory of the 2004 Orange Revolution? Yes, simply because Putin was not yet ready to set fire to a neighbor’s house. He was not ready to break with the West. Now he was washed and set off in all difficult ones. And it was he who splashed kerosene to the east of Ukraine and threw a match.

Secondly, because the disgusting meanness of the methods that the Kremlin enlightened and wages this war is obvious. The most important propaganda component of the Kremlin special operation is to incite enmity and hatred with the help of total shameless lies. Its genuine symbol was the story with a child crucified on the board of ads .

Yes, as Arkady Babchenko writes , most participants in any war believe that they are fighting for good and justice against nonhumans. And among the rebels there are probably a lot of honest warriors in their own way. They can be inspired by a false and vicious idea, they can be deceived by propaganda, but in any case they are worthy of respect from the enemy. The one who was not completely divided by the war will never drop to mocking them. The need to fight with them is not a reason for joy, but a tragedy. The tragedy in which those who purposefully and deliberately provoked this war are to blame. And last but not least, those who concocted and repeatedly drove this vile bloody vet on federal television. And their authorities (up to the highest political), which did not disavow this cooking for the next day.

Here they are - nonhumans. Moreover, they are not just scoundrels and bastards, worthy of spitting into physiognomy. They are precisely enemies that can only be seen through the gap of the sight. This is their lies today kills. It is due to their fault that fighters of both sides die, honest and not very, civilians die, in whose houses random shells fall. Blood will flow until these people are stopped. Until the war ends for them the same as it ended for Julius Streicher. Honest warriors from both sides will eventually find their Walgall, in which they will be fine. But these will burn in hell.

Thirdly, the war in the Donbass is only part of the global war, unleashed by Putin against world civilization. And this war affects the most bloody for each of us. It, in turn, is part of the eternal confrontation between traditionalism and modernization. The main subject of the historical dispute between them is the sphere of autonomy of an individual human person from society and the state. Modernization seeks to expand this sphere as much as possible, traditionalism - to narrow as much as possible and in the end completely absorb the personality.

Freedom of speech and meetings, independent court, parliamentarism, international law and many other attributes of Western civilization are ultimately instruments that ensure autonomy of the individual. The historical trend is undoubtedly directed towards its expansion. But the forces of traditionalism periodically give rise to the outputs of aggressive revengeism of those who do not want to put up with this tendency. They are trying to return society back and for the sake of this they unleash their "sacred wars." In the end, fascism is one of the most extreme and aggressive forms of traditionalist revanchism.

In the early 90s, Russian society presented an obvious request for legal institutions developed by Western civilization. This request was completely out of place, and the new criminal oligarchy did not seek to satisfy the seized property and power. With it, only external borrowing took place, and then the rapid emasculation of Western establishments, their transformation into a manipulative imitation. But sooner or later, the ruling kleptocracy was supposed to adopt the idea of ​​denying Western modernization values ​​and contrasting traditional values ​​to them. It is not painful for us and I wanted these Western "achievements". Yes, they generally suck, for us, already good, exceptionally harmful.

So it was by no means by chance that Putin’s fascination with publicist -guardians of the late XIX - early XX centuries was. It was no coincidence that there was an appeal of the regime to protect "conservative values." The country is ruled by the mafia, and the mafia - the quintessence of traditionalism. No wonder the structural unit of the mafia is called "family." And now Putin all over the world proclaims the frankly fascist concept of the special genetic code of the "Russian world", which consists in the readiness of an individual for the sake of some higher interests to completely dissolve in community and subordinate himself to the state. Remember? "You are nothing, your people are all."

Despite the fact that today Putin is copying Hitler until the smallest trifles until the 39th year, solid liberal observers wrinkle their noses from such comparisons. This is not serious, lightweight. That Hitler was real, and Putin was a fake. Imital, like everything in his kingdom-state. And in general, the scale is not the same. In short, does not pull Hitler. Meanwhile, that real Hitler personality was quite miserable. Fuhrer made him a random gathering of circumstances. So do not flatter yourself with the insignificance of Putin's personality. Yes, in his kingdom almost everything is fake. Everything except the war. Putin’s war is always real, dirty and bloody. Putin is a war. And the challenge that he abandoned civilization today is no less dangerous than the challenge abandoned by Hitler.

The point, of course, is not in Putin. Recent events showed that in Russian society, powerful forces were dozing, who deathly hate Western civilization as such and waiting only for a convenient moment to begin to kill its supporters. Thousands of citizens of the Russian Federation went to Donbass to fight quite voluntarily. And this is only a part of those who wish. These are only those who had military training, or accelerated it in special camps. The vast majority of these volunteers are quite clearly recognized by the participants in the crusade against the corrupted West with his human rights, tolerance, political correctness and other “liberal” abominations. They are fighting for the sacred right to beat their wives and children. Well, for all other no less traditional values.

You can lament that the civil war dragged us out. But we did not start it. The global war between traditionalism and modernization will inevitably turn from imperialist into civilian. The watershed in it takes place in each particular society, in each people. Russian "crusaders" fighting in Donetsk and Lugansk, our enemies, no matter how much our recent comrades sting that among them. Either they need to submit, or they need to fight with them. And the Ukrainian army opposing them is fighting, including for our freedom, for the freedom of Russia. Victory to her.
