In the seven Moscow parks, Gogol-Modules were installed-mini-stores for the sale of quality literature, and on weekends interesting free meetings with the authors were held.

On Saturday, August 23, the weather was to order, the Krasnaya Presnya park was scored by walking, the public attracted by laughter and loud voices approaches the scenes. The reaction is different:

The poet and translator Anastasia Strokina, the author of the book about the poetic world of Nikolai Roerich, talked about the life and work of the Roerichs, read the verses of Rabindranate Tagora specially translated by her for meeting. The theater department Natalya Kolesova presented her book dedicated to Peter Fomenko - the first book about the great Russian director ( New Gazeta No. 87 of August 8 ). Theater actors.doc Alena Spivak and Vladimir Bagramov read chapters from the bestseller of this summer - the book “Women's Detective Agency No. 1”. And on Sunday, a cozy, cheerful, lyrical evening of Viktor Shenderovich was held at Museon.

To participate in such a project for writers, researchers and artists, of course, is not easy - then a raven will fly by, shouting a lecturer, then a dog will burst, then the child will cry. Spectators are talking, rolled up with a roar on rollers - although in fairness it should be noted that many even turned off mobile phones, they tried to eat imperceptibly. But at the same time, the park creates an atmosphere of pleasant relaxation, and the meeting acquires an informal, personal character.

We walk around the park with Nina Soslina, the PR director of the Book in Parks project, eat ice cream, and Nina talks about the project.

- Our task is to return reading to parks, show that in the park you can and should be read. To do this, we sell books in the parks and organize meetings with authors, acting readers. We try to hold meetings of different formats-we invite some kind of “locomotive”, and we attach something more complicated or less known to it, because our task is an educational.

We approach Gogol-module, and Nina talks about what books they bring to sale.

- It is best to buy classics in the parks in inexpensive publications. In second place are children's books.

“We try to lay out both the classics and the latest new products,” Andrey, the seller of Gogol-Module, joins the conversation. - Here, for example, a fresh diary of Bridget Jones, came out a few days ago. But the new Marinin - she came out the day before yesterday and is already with us.

- And what, they take it well?

- Dmitry Petrov’s training courses in French and English are very popular. They take well children's Soviet authors - for example Charushin. Oleg Roy did not want to exhibit here, but my mothers tortured me, it turns out that it was terribly fashionable - I had to bring it. To my surprise, the thick books “Literature of the Renaissance” and “Literature of the Middle Ages” are taken. Not the first person is already looking at the “anthology of medieval thought” - last weekend I reproached me that there is a lot of blessed Augustine in it, but Francis is not enough, so they bought another book on philosophy; My jaw dropped.

The project "Books in the Parks" grew out of the BookMarket festival. The festival takes place for two days - this year on September 6 and 7 in the Krasnaya Presnya park. This is an alternative platform of the Moscow International Book Exhibition-Fair.

- What is the point of making an alternative site MMKVVI?

- “Bookmarket” is something that does not fit in the MMKVVI format, which already has its own stable audience, and there are few new people there. It is impossible to make, for example, the theater performance is a conservative serious book exhibition, and it should be like that. Five years ago, the Federal Press Agency came up with Bookmarket, when books come under an open sky, all kinds of literary, musical, theatrical events are arranged. And three years ago we thought that if this festival is so wonderful, then let's do it all summer. Together with the Department of Media and Advertising, which is engaged in all the book issues of Moscow, they came up with such a story: three months in Moscow parks should stand for the sale of books, and in them consultants who can tell about books everything.

- How does this differ from a tray with books on the way to the subway?

-Firstly, form. We decided that books should be part of the cultural landscape. Therefore, we announced a competition of young architects, and the ArchiveD made us two types of our Gogol-modules-in the form of barrels and woods. When there is no book trade, this is a full -fledged part of the park landscape - you can sit there, read, etc. On the other hand, we critically approached the choice of sellers and books. The fact that a person can tell about the book, the fact that he loves and knows it is priceless. And finally, we reinforce all this with a variety of cultural actions. This year we deliberately left the center to cover those people who are used to walking in the park near the house. There are people who purposefully come to the park with books. But we dreamed of our project to touch the audience that comes to the park for a walk, ride rollers, relax with children. In the midst of this entertaining paradise, they suddenly discover books - unexpected at the scene of outdoor activities. Interested, they approach Gogol-modules, so it turns out that in the park those who may not go to the bookstore come to the books.

Viktor Shenderovich: kilometers of read correct books are reflected on the face

“I am the leading playwright of our time,” Viktor Anatolyevich said and severely cut off the giggle. - It was a tactless laughter. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays in his entire life - and it is still unclear whether he wrote them, and I have two two hundred years old, now I’ll read a couple of dozen to you.

They listened to the plays, holding their breath, and laughed with pleasure. No less joy was caused by the followers of the satirical lyrical poems and the famous “zest from the roll”-stories and jokes from the life of famous and not very people.

After an hour and a half, Shenderovich thanked the audience, saying that when he went to this meeting, the organizers asked him to hold out for an hour, but it took an hour and a half, and they were joy to him. The audience applauded, but no one moved, obviously waiting for the continuation. A rare case - Viktor Anatolyevich was at a loss for a moment, but then offered to read “good other people's poems” to the memory. So, to the noticeable pleasure of those present, the evening ended in Brodsky, Volodin, Samoilov.

- Of course, this is risky for the protruding project. When you go out onto the stage, as Velovurov sang, if you need to explain who you are, why and why you have already lost. This is precisely the problem of a person who goes to an accidental audience: when people paid for tickets, they came to you, and you can be more or less sure that this is your audience and you will speak the same language. I went here with some kind of cautious: people walk in the park-and suddenly someone performs, and the effect of open air, scattered attention makes it difficult to work, but today there was a happy case. I understood this before I opened my mouth when I saw the eyes of those who gathered. From a certain age, face control is triggered, I would even call it a book control-not to be confused with a weapon of mass defeat: you understand, looking at the faces that these people read the same books that you read, that most of the public responds to quotes, that there is no need to explain the jokes and there will not be an awkward silence that always arises when you begin to speak in an unknown language. Still, as Bomarsha said, the time is an honest person, and by how many years the kilometers of read the correct books are reflected on the face. I recognize these faces. When I read classic poems, many nodded their heads, articulated with me, many knew these verses in the same way as I did. And this, of course, is happiness - as the hero of the film “We will live until Monday” said: “Happiness is when they understand you.” And this is truly-a terrible word-a spiritual thing. Yesterday I recorded an audio diode from friends. They rent a studio in some patriotic-in the current understanding of the word-a place in the center of Moscow. This is a bookstore with a pogrom, semi -fascist, so -called patriotic literature in the range between Stalin and the protocols of the Zion sages, there is a nest of these people. And I came to the neighboring rented building. When I left, they caught me, there was without a scammer, there was a provocation, and in the end, the young man who is suitable for my sons told me: “Let's get out somewhere, they are not waiting for you here.” This young man, for whom in my repertoire, there would have been no familiar letter, these people - they are loud, unlike today's public, and they love to talk on behalf of the people. And they send me on behalf of the people. I might have left if there were no other people, such as today. This is a kind of harmony: yesterday's meeting - and tonight.

I really like the idea of ​​returning books to the park. I myself regularly read in the parks, on the boulevard. Brodsky said that in the rooms instead of the Bible it was necessary to put a book of poems. It should be air, which does not have to go to the library. You came to the park - here is the book shelf, you chose the book. This is the air, and if it is not, it is not clear why it is all. If it is not, then we need to move in the direction of Darwinism, pump iron in order to conquer bread and females. If we do not want to turn into this, then books. This is the right idea, and today I saw that it is fruitful. I was afraid of the empty hall, because people themselves are embarrassed when there were few of them, feared random people, but this did not happen. I went to the lottery, in the end it turned out pleasure.

And I, looking at the queue for autographs, thought that in fact such festivals - they are not only to expand the circle of reading people. They, so that we, reading, meet and see: we speak the same language. We are. We are those who read always and everywhere, including in parks. And there are still many of us.
