Mikhail Khodorkovsky: "We can stop it"

Today, August 28, Mikhail Khodorkovsky extended an application in connection with the invasion of Russian troops to Ukraine.

The application was published on the website of the press center of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev:


We are fighting with Ukraine. Really. We send soldiers and equipment there. Ukrainians fight well, but retreat. Forces, of course, are unequal.

And at the same time, our power is lying continuously. As I lied in the 80s about Afghanistan. In the 90s-about Chechnya. Today is Ukraine. And we are burying our yesterday's colleagues, friends and relatives, who are now on both sides who kill each other not because they want, but because aging power always needs blood.

We all know this. Therefore, power is lying.

But why do we pretend that we believe? Bruckled?! We are even afraid to think? Isn't it scary to lose children?! And shoot brothers? How will we live then?

And know - we could and can stop it. It is enough just to go outside, threaten a strike. Power is immediately blown away, it is cowardly. But no, we will pretend that we believe. And cry at the funeral.

So, I don’t want to be silent and I will not!
