Spaniard Manuel Linares, a 37-year-old physicist who suddenly retrained into a cook made a radical fracture in the history of desserts-he created the first ice cream that changes color depending on the air temperature and saliva.
The idea of such an unusual dish appeared in Manuel during the exchange rates. At first, she did not cause enthusiasm at the head of the courses, because the ice cream is one of the oldest desserts, it would seem, it was almost impossible to improve him. Nevertheless, the hameleon ice cream (the resourceful Linares called him- Xamaleón ) and in fact it turned out. Only a week has gone to the development of this brainchild.
In the freezer, the dessert seems to be a pale blue, and before getting into the waffle horn, the seller spray it with a special spray from the unaware, but supposedly natural ingredients. This is to accelerate the process of changing color. After this manipulation, in just a few seconds, the ice cream begins to change, becoming similar to a large pink -lilac gum.
During its creation, Linares was inspired by the similar properties of some exotic fruits. He describes the taste of ice cream as “Tutti-Frighty”: in it you can distinguish notes of strawberries, cocoa, almonds, banana, pistachios, vanilla and caramel. The cook stores the technology of creating a product in the strictest confidence. Now the treat is in the process of patenting, and the scientist himself is working on the recipe for “club” desserts that change the color in the rays of ultraviolet radiation.
Ice cream often inspires scientists to various experiments and inventions. So, a few years ago, the Canadian company Kitchen Crafts created special rotating ice cream cups. To eat a treat in such a glass, just pull out the tongue. According to the inventors, a rotating glass allows those who are exhausted on a hot day at work, to avoid unnecessary efforts. In addition, such ice cream does not have time to melt and, therefore, does not leak on the fingers. Of course, a very dubious technical invention is unlikely to be very good for anyone. Although disabled people may be appreciated.
Also recently, the British confectioner Charlie Harry Francis became the author of several unusual varieties of ice cream at once: a holiest, from liquid nitrogen “with a smoke”, and even with the content of Viagra.
The harmless ice cream of Manuel Linares is so far sold only in his own cafe in the city of Kalella de Mar, the province of Barcelona (Spain) and has a huge success, but it is possible that it will soon become affordable in other countries. We hope that soon it will reach us. It would be sad to deprive the Russian children of such an amazing treat.
