Movement
The clumsy attempt of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Roskomnadzor and the Novosibirsk City Hall to ban not only the “march for the federalization of Siberia”, but even its discussion on the network led to public resonance throughout Russia.
In the Kuban, "federalists" were one of the most active in the country. Unlike many regions (Kaliningrad, Smolensk regions, Moscow, etc.), their actions were not limited to publications on the Internet (often anonymous). The movement in the region has a small, but “offline” asset. On August 17, a notification of the march for federalization was filed in Krasnodar - the application, of course, was rejected.
This is a terrible word - "federalization"
Activists proclaimed the Kuban People’s Republic. Let it exist only in social networks and literally a few people are interested in it now, but the project can cause interest and anxiety on both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian border: Ukrainian nationalists declare-from the first half of the 20th century to this day, which Kuban consider Ukrainian land.
Assessments of the activities of "federalists" in the region vary. “Dvizhuha is garbage. There is a pair of political evidence. They inflated everything, ”one of the Krasnodar anarchists comments on the situation for the OVD-info.
“I think federalization has already happened with us. Own army (Cossacks), protected by the authorities of the estate of officials, controlled by the regional authorities of the NPO, business, etc., ”said Semen Simonov, coordinator of the Migration and Law program in the Krasnodar Territory.
“If in short and simplified about the Siberian, Kaliningrad, Kuban“ Federalism ”: at present it is mainly an element of the information war, in which the effect of self -development already appears. That is, this began, of course, as trolling of central Russian power, a response to the support of its so -called “supporters of federalization” in Ukraine. The idea was effectively used: “There is no need to rush stones at the one who lives in a glass house.” But this trolling began to very quickly acquire a real protest format. There are reasons for dissatisfaction, the main one is ignoring the laws with regard to the rights of citizens, ”says Mikhail Savva, professor of Kuban State University.
Pressure
The application for a march for federalization was submitted by Daria Polyudova, who was repeatedly detained by political reasons in the Kuban. The local center for counteracting extremism was even on its employers.
Having received a refusal to hold a march, the Kuban federalists called for the national gathering in Krasnodar on August 17, simultaneously with the action in Novosibirsk. Polyudov was preventively detained on August 15.
She told the OVD-Info that she was walking along the street, then a young man approached her, who, according to her, began to “run into” her, blame her for nationalism. She went to get a job and asked him not to pester her. After that, police officers appeared who detained her. August 16 - the day before the intended action - Polyudova received 14 days for supposedly petty hooliganism. The police also “held a conversation” with the owners of the apartment, which Polyudov was renting. According to her comrades, after serving administrative arrest, she will have to look for new housing.
At the time of writing, the fate of Polyudova was not completely clear. While she was serving an administrative arrest, she had a search - it is not known, in the framework of a criminal case. From a special detention center on August 29, she did not go to her comrades. According to her comrades, she is in a pre-trial detention center-5 controlled by the Krasnodar FSB, and a criminal case has been instituted on her. For which articles are still unknown.
According to the activist of the “solidarity” of Viktor Chirikov, less than 10 people visited the disagreed campaign in Krasnodar on August 17, most of them learned about the event from social networks, these people are not yet familiar, and therefore were not detained.
At the venue of the gathering were Cossacks, police and provocateurs in civilian clothes.
Member of the organizing committee of the Kuban Vyacheslav Martynov, who came to an action with a yellow-blue ribbon on his wrist, was one of those whom law enforcement officers knew before.
The video of the incident, because of which Martynov received 15 days on charges of petty hooliganism, is available to viewing from Russia only through anonymizers-like the entire VKontakte group of the Kuban march for federalization.
The record clearly shows that it was Martynov who became the victim of aggression. The man at first threatened him much larger than him, like a gun, and then simply climbed into a fight.
Peter Lyubchenkov calls himself a press secretary of the Kuban People’s Republic. Now he is in Odessa and asked for the provision of political asylum in Ukraine-according to him, because of the threats that he received in his native Krasnodar.
Lyubchenkov told the ATS-Info that in the spring in Krasnodar there were attempts to organize pro-Ukrainian actions. Then he ended up in the police department, and the same people who attacked a participant in an unauthorized action for federalization in Krasnodar on August 17, threatened him on the network and came to the place of the planned but failed pro -Ukrainian action, in order to attack its participants.
According to Lyubchenkov, the police until August 17 came home to one of the "federalists", but the incident did not get public.
The next share for federalization is scheduled for October 5 and, perhaps, will be held synchronously in the Kuban and Siberia.
