Media: NATO plans to create five military bases in Eastern Europe
NATO intends to create five new military bases in Europe. This was written by the German edition of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
According to the publication, the bases will be built in Poland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. At these bases, about four thousand military personnel as part of a quick response units will be located.
The newspaper notes that the leadership of the North Atlantic Union in this way intends to guarantee the safety of its members from Russia.
It is noted that in detail the plans for creating new bases will be discussed at the NATO summit, which will take place on September 4-5 in Wales.
