Ex-Governor of the Novosibirsk Region became a defendant in another case

The Investigative Committee opened a new criminal case against the former governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko, the press service of the department reports.

The criminal case was instituted under the article “Excess of official powers” ​​(part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, in May 2012, Yurchenko illegally signed a document that gave the land of the ammunition the status of agricultural. Only the government has the powers to coordinate such procedures.

Yurchenko’s actions caused damage in the amount of 12 million rubles of the company, which under the contract grown wheat for his needs.

In August, a similar business was instituted against the ex-governor. Yurchenko was accused of the fact that in 2010, being the first deputy governor of the Novosibirsk Region, he instructed the abolition of the auction for the sale of the object of incomplete construction and the land located on Chaplygin Street in Novosibirsk. This real estate was owned by Gaztransky OJSC, 100% of the shares of which belong to the Novosibirsk region.

In May, the prosecutor's office of the Novosibirsk region canceled the decision to initiate a criminal case on negligence against Yurchenko at the disposal of the land of the Ministry of Defense.

In March 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin fired Yurchenko from the post of governor in connection with the loss of confidence.
