A copy of one of the greatest relics of the Christian world - the Turin raincoat, was delivered to Moscow on Thursday, in which, according to legend, the body of Jesus Christ was shrouded in. On August 28, the shrine brought to Russia from Italy has already visited St. Petersburg, Vladimir and Suzdal.

As the Catholic Archbishop of the Mother of God in the capital, on Friday, September 5, was told in the information service of the Mother of God, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Malaya Georgian Street will show a film about relics, after which prayer thoughts and Mass are under the presentation of the Archbishop Paolo Pezzi. And on September 6, one of the copies of the shroud will be given as a gift to the Orthodox Church of the Holy Martyr Clement of the Pope in Moscow, ITAR-TASS reports.

The same gift was presented by the Basilica of St. Catherine of Alexandria in St. Petersburg. "We are talking about the exact, certified copies of the relic, which are transmitted on behalf of Archbishop Turin Cesare Nosilia," the archbishop noted.

In Moscow, the Turin raincoat will be located until September 7th. The next public exhibition of the shrine will be held in 2015 in Turin, in which Pope Francis intends to participate. The organizers of the pilgrimage hope that the official delegation from Russia will also arrive at the celebrations.
