Diana Arbenina: "I was forbidden to play almost everywhere in Russia"

The Russian singer, the soloist of the Night Snipers group Diana Arbenina said that in Russia she was already “forbidden to play almost everywhere”, she is forbidden to read poetry, cancel concerts and attribute the support of nationality gangsters. Arbenina wrote about this on her Facebook .

"The latest news is amazing with surrealism-today I was already forbidden to read poetry. They asked you to tell you that I can’t" for technical reasons. "Before that, two weeks of 24-hour nightmare: every day we fought for cities and perished every night. I was forbidden to play almost everywhere in Russia. I have been credited with lies about supporting fascist-fascist-nationalists and other shusher. I asked for forgiveness (God forbid you to take such a burden) for Russia.

“I don’t know what this persecution is caused. I play rock and roll and I have been doing it for 20 years without any political connotation. I want to live in a free country and was confident in my personal inviolability, like a citizen who loves and suffers for his homeland and nothing in his country. I don’t know what and when it ends. Everything is possible, and I have no one to ask for protection,” he writes. Singer.

“Please know that I will not stop singing. I will not stop delighting you with songs. I will not shut up,” Arbenina assured.

The nearest concert, according to her, will be held in Moscow at the Green Theater at the celebration of the City Day, and it has not yet been canceled.

On the website of the "Night Snipers" it is reported that the book festival "Bookmarket" canceled the poetic readings of Diana Arbenina planned on September 7.

"For reasons beyond our control, the poetic readings of Diana Arbenina are canceled on September 7. The organizers of the Bookmarket festival were ordered to cancel our performance as part of the festival in the Moscow Presnya Moscow Park. We will not hide that this is a flagrant situation for us," it was said in the message.

The PR manager of the Bookmarket project Nina Suslina confirmed the cancellation of Arbenina’s performance, the Radio Speak Moscow reports.

"There are a number of serious circumstances that prevent this. It does not depend on Diana, it has nothing to do with her work. This is rather just a number of circumstances. It is decided at the leadership level. This is not the Department of Culture," Suslina said.

At the same time, the presentation of the Book of Lands of Song Arbenina "Stalker", which should be held as part of the Moscow International Book exhibition-fair at the AST stand, will be held on a schedule, reports "Gazeta.ru" with reference to the publishing house. The singer said she condemns bloodshed in Ukraine, but will never abandon her audience. “These are people with normal faces, not fascists, they are not to blame for anything. On July 3, I played a concert in Kyiv, dedicated to my 40th anniversary. We did not cancel it, the public would not understand this,” she explained.

In July, Diana Arbenina turned 40 years old. To her anniversary, she released a solo album "Boy on the Ball."

As a result, Makarevich wrote a letter to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to stop the Sabbath, recently arranged in the state media, who christened Makarevich "friend of the junta" and "accomplice of the Nazis."

There was no answer from Putin, but his spokeswoman Dmitry Peskov said that the president knows about the letter, he is now not up to the letters of Makarevich, who, according to Peskov, was interpreted as the “reaction of public opinion” as a persecution.
