The head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate Filaret said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is obsessed with the devil. This is stated in a statement by Patriarchate, entitled " New Cain ".

“With great regret, it should now say the public that among the rulers of this world, in the fact of baptism related to the Orthodox Church, there was a real new Cain - not by name, but in business. These cases testify that the ruler, like the first Cain in the history of the fratricide, fell under the action of Satan,” said Filaret.

The head of the Kyiv Patriarchate does not call the name of Putin in the text. At the same time, Filaret indicates: "In his will and the authorities - immediately stop death and bloodshed, but for the sake of his pride, he continues to multiply evil."
