The journalist died near Lugansk as a result of a missile shelling from the Russian “tornado”
Oleg Zadoyanguk, a Ukrainian journalist who collaborated with the Russian service, died in the zone of hostilities in eastern Ukraine on the night of Ukraine on September 4. He was mobilized on August 29, and at the front of the unnecessary war he spent only four days. Almost all of his battalion died near Lugansk near the village of Dmitrievka, Novoidarovsky District as a result of missile shelling from the Russian “tornado”.
Oleg in July turned 43 years old. He was born in Soviet Khabarovsk in a military family. In the early 90s, together with his relatives, he moved to Ukraine. We met him in Kyiv in the early years of Ukrainian independence. Oleg then was just starting to engage in journalism and with the next report for the Moscow newspaper Megapolis-Expasses returned from the war zone in Transnistria. There he was often and more than once in the trenches was a step away from death. Oleg went to the Donbass, which Putin is now trying to turn into Ukrainian Transnistria not as a journalist, but as a citizen to protect his country, although he could refuse - he had weak vision. He appreciated sincerity in people, did not tolerate falsehood, loved to travel.
We did not work with him for long in the newspaper “Visti Z Ukrainian” and six years in the UNIAN news agency. Oleg was then carried away by the subtleties of Ukrainian politics, and many colleagues noted his outstanding analytical publications. Then the television career began. Oleg was the editor-in-chief of the Pislyamov program (“afterword”) Alexander Tkachenko, the editor of the project “Faces of the World”, which produces the editor in the news of the new, 5th channel, TSN on “1+1”, “City”. Recently he worked at the Ukrinform agency.
As part of the television project “Faces of the World”, Oleg with a film crew visited many countries. One of the heroes of this program was the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people of the Dalai Lama, an interview with which was recorded in his residence of Dharmasala in Northern India. From this trip, it seemed to me, Oleg returned to a completely different person radiating optimism and confidence. So I will remember him. It is very difficult to realize that Oleg is no longer among us. And there is only one reason for this - the ambitions of Vladimir Putin. He captures our territories, kills our friends, sets Russians on Ukrainians, with the help of cynical propaganda makes relatives living in two states, the worst enemies. But I believe that evil is punishable.
Colleagues from the “1+1” channel, on which Oleg Zadoyanchuk worked for several years, wrote: “We will remember and will always remember your, Olezhka, a calm and leisurely sequence, without any pathetic and pathos. You were very seriously and attentive to life and people, did not treat him so frivolously with either actions or words. You so sincerely delved into the world, solved it, solved it, solved it. I studied for you, it is difficult to imagine you with weapons in your hands, but you took it from the need to protect your country.
Oleg Zadoyanguk will be buried on Monday, September 8, on the alley of the heroes of the Lukyanovsky cemetery in Kyiv.
