
The ambassadors of the countries of the European Union agreed on a new package of sanctions against Russia in connection with the Ukrainian crisis, reports the BBC with reference to European diplomats. He will enter into force on Friday. At the same time, the possibility of review or cancellation will be announced.

The day before, the regular representatives of the EU members postponed the decision to impose new sanctions against Moscow. This was done because the ambassadors could not come to a consensus on the need for sanctions. It is claimed that Germany insisted on imposing sanctions, but several other EU countries called not to do this while the truce continues in Ukraine.
Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, who will become the head of European diplomacy in November, told reporters in Brussels that some countries are asking for the introduction of sanctions, but refused to list these countries. According to Reuters sources, countries such as Italy, Austria and Finland, which have close ties with Russia, reluctantly agree to the introduction of sanctions.
The Council of the European Union approved a package of new sanctions against Moscow on Monday evening. At the same time, it was decided to postpone their official publication for several days to give Russia the opportunity to prove its commitment to the ceasefire and the peaceful plan.

At the same time, he was skeptical of the agreements reached in negotiations in Minsk.
What kind of restrictive measures the European Union intends to introduce, has not yet been officially reported. According to media reports, Russian oil companies Rosneft, Transneft and Gazpromneft will fall under new sanctions. Also, restrictions on attracting credit resources will be imposed on three defense companies: the United Aircraft Corporation, Oboronprom and Uralvagonzavod. In addition, the period for which it is allowed to attract funds will be reduced from 90 to 30 days. This restriction will also be valid for organizations that have been on the list earlier: Sberbank, VTB, VEB, Gazprombank and Rosselkhozbank.
In addition, European companies will be forced to sell nine Russian defense organizations of dual -use technology. A list of individuals falling under sanctions will also be expanded.
