Georgian politicians, like the heroes of the popular Italian film comedy, play a performance called "The Adventures of the Presidents." The former head of state, who was abroad, Mikhail Saakashvili blocked the entrance to their homeland. The motivation was the accusation of the use of funds from a hitherto for some reason in the classified budget of personal security for personal purposes. It was stated that over the nine years of staying in power, Saakashvili spent over 8 million Lari on the purchase of a collection of expensive hours, up to a dozen jackets and one fashionable coat, for the services of a massage therapist specially discharged from Germany (it was supposedly brought to the country, bypassing border control), for renting expensive yachts and cars during foreign warriors, etc. p.
It is not known what decisions will make the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly, which will be devoted to the problem of climate warming. One thing can be said: the political climate in Georgia does not threaten warming
I will not go into details of the prosecution, I only note that the court issued a decision on the absentee arrest of the former president. Saakashvili’s return move was as if from the theater of the absurd: one fine day the representative of the presidential library he created brought to the reception of the State Council (!) And demanded to capitalize seven worn jackets and one coat of chef - so to speak, as compensation. They categorically refused to accept jackets and coats. After the skirmish, the lady still shoved the presidential wardrobe into a police car. The next day, the police returned Second-Hand to the address of the librarian's father.
A few days ago, Mikhail Saakashvili visited Turkey, arrived at the Sarpi border post on the border with Georgia and, remaining on the "that side", held a meeting with one -party people crossing the border. Having made several political statements, Saakashvili, who cannot refuse to humor, said the following: "One president is not let into the country, they do not let out the other!" The fact is that in the retrieval of the victim in the elections of the National Movement party, in which Saakashvili actually solely rules in Georgia, the current rulers legislatively limited the functions of the head of state that he became not even a representative, but a mythical figure. If the president takes an active part in some event, then the event and the president are ignored by government members. So it was, for example, during the report of George Margvelashvili at a meeting of the republican parliament. Accordingly, the president does not come to the official techniques arranged by the government, and often they do not send him invitations.
Another conflict between the president and the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili erupted about who will go to the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly. Both claim that they received an official invitation on behalf of the General Secretary of the World Organization, Pan Hi Muna. The government approved the composition of the official delegation led by the Prime Minister, there is no word about the president. In turn, Margvelashvili said that he himself was free to decide whether to go to him or not. As a result of a multi -day public skirmish, he never changed his opinion. The meeting with the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maya Pangidze, did not help. It may happen that two official delegations from Georgia will go to the UN. And indeed, one president is not released from the country, they don’t let the other into the country ... It is not known what decisions will make the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly, which will be devoted to the problem of climate warming. One thing can be said: warming in Georgia does not threaten the political climate in Georgia.
