
Billionaire Vladimir Yevtushenkov, chairman of the Board of Directors of the AFC Sistema, is placed under house arrest in the case of theft of shares of enterprises in the fuel and energy complex of Bashkiria. This was reported on the website of the TFR. On Tuesday, the billionaire was charged under part 4 of Article 174 of the Criminal Code (laundering of money), which provides for the seven years of the colony.
As Interfax reports with reference to a source familiar with the situation, on September 16, investigative actions were carried out in the AFK System Office in the presence of Yevtushenkov.
In July, the media reported that the billionaire was summoned for interrogation in the case of theft of shares of Bashkir FEC companies. He himself, however, did not comment on this information.
In mid -July, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested a stake in Bashneft, owned by Yevtushenkov holding. This measure was accepted as part of the investigation of the waste and money laundering, excited against the ex-head of the Bashneft, Ural Rakhimov (son of the former president of Bashkiria, Murtazi Rakhimov) and large businessman Levon Ayrapetyan. At the end of August, the case was also opened on laundering money on the sale of shares of the Bashkir fuel and energy company (Bashtek).
In 2009, AFK Sistema bought a Bastek from Bashkiria through funds, which were considered close to father and son Rakhimov. As the media wrote, Ayrapetyan received $ 50 million for participating in Rakhimov Jr. of this company and laundering the received funds. The amount by which the Bashneft shares were sold was, according to the witness, he was underestimated.
In mid -July, Ayrapetyan was arrested. Rakhimov put on the wanted list; The prosecution was brought to him in absentia. Earlier it was reported that he is in Austria.
The 65-year-old Yevtushenkov owns 64 percent of the shares of his holding. His fortune, according to Forbes, is equal to 9 billion dollars, which puts Yevtushenkov in 15th place in the list of richest Russian businessmen.
