The Games group returns

On September 20, in St. Petersburg, for the first time in 20 years, a concert of the Games group will take place-the chief project of musicians of the cult Leningrad rock band “Strange Games”.

According to ART1 , a concert at the DADA club (Gorokhovaya, 47) is a member of the Ionosphere festival program.

On September 25, a large concert was scheduled in the Moscow club “16 tons”, in which the group “Strange Games” and “Games” will take part.

Strange Games , one of the brightest groups of the Leningrad rock club, released two albums and broke up in 1986. Since then, the group has been reunited from time to time for one -time performances.

Not all musicians of the original composition survived to this day-the founder of the group Alexander Davydov died in 1984, the drummer Alexander Kondrashkin was in 1999, and the guitarist Grigory Sologub in 2009.

In 2013, “strange games” reunited, Grigory Sologuba was taken by his nephew Philip, and Igor Cheridnik, who was already a member of the group in the 1990s, is now playing on drums.

The Games group arose after the collapse of “strange games” and also released only two albums. In addition, “Games” in full force took part in the “Pop Mechanic” by Sergei Kurekhin and accompanied Joanna Stingre, the drummer of “Kino” George “Gustav” Gurianov and Sergey “Africa” Bugaev, “Games” were successfully toured in Europe-performed in Holland, Italy, Denmark and Germany. After the collapse in the early 90s, “Games” only occasionally gave one-time concerts.
