The arrest of Vladimir Yevtushenkov must be watched “systematic”. In Russia, hundreds of entrepreneurs are arrested for and without reason. In a country where everyone is equally powerless - both a migrant and an oligarch - the size does not matter. Therefore, the sensation is not so much the sacrifice caliber as its belonging to the “systemic”, that is, not just loyal power, but which is its integral part of the business. This is not a war with the enemies of the regime and not a “typical” raider seizure, but a “home” showdown.
It is necessary to distinguish between reasons and the reason for what happened. There are many reasons (more on this later), but the reason is only one - a budget deficit looming on the horizon. And in this sense, the arrest of Yevtushenkov is, of course, political. Poprazing the famous Soviet politician of the era, which, apparently, again becomes a reference one, we can say that "as it moves to the collapse, the clan struggle is growing."
Ultimately, if you discard all the “beautifulness” created by Putin, the system of government created by Putin is nothing more than the “feeding” modernized and stylized under the “Internet era”, where each “allowed to the table” was given to the table (in modern Russia, the line between them is blurred) is given the right to rob the treasury and fulfill certain obligations to the fulfillment of certain obligations power. On the table lies a budget pie, and when it is big, there are no special problems - everyone eats it for their part. But if the size of the pie is reduced, friction begins, the struggle for access to resources is sharply increasing, and someone's mouth is superfluous.
Why do people win in the fierce struggle for resources, while others lose, depends on many accidents. There is always someone standing nearby, who desperately (sometimes in a figurative, and sometimes in the literal sense of the word) needs your piece. In this sense, the version of Khodorkovsky that the trigger of the process was the head of Rosneft, who urgently needed to raise the capitalization of his company, was not without reason. In addition, there is always a governor who needs to solve his local problems, including dealing with the heritage of his predecessors, and who therefore will fiddle the central authority and security forces. There are always offended and deprived, as well as those who are sitting under the table and counting on the fact that with a fight, some crumbs from the table will fall down.
In the end, much depends on how the “criminal card” lay down and what kind of investigative case is currently open on the table of the security forces. But none of these factors in itself can lead to the result: criminal cases are dusting on the tables of Russian investigators for years, and no one will turn over and pages until the signal has passed through the “system”. The signal passed only because there was little money. In a certain sense of the word, Yevtushenkov became the first truly serious victim of Western sanctions. As always, it “hit” the wrong side from which they expected. They thought that the people would be left without Parmesan, and instead the oligarch lost freedom. A worthy reason to think.
In this regard, an attempt to tie Yevtushenkov to the “Yukos case” and declare it “Khodorkovsky of our time” is counterproductive. In its texture, these are two completely different things. Of course, both of them are political. But only politics today is completely different than ten years ago.
The Yukos case preceded the dawn of the regime. It was a kind of open offer to all other oligarchs - if you do not want to have the same thing with you as Khodorkovsky, then conclude a contract with the authorities: "Loyalty and part of the income in exchange for safety." In fact, thanks to the “Yukos case”, a “system business” arose - a kind of alloy of public authorities and private entrepreneurship, where friends can do everything, and the rest - by law.
Yevtushenkov’s case is a harbinger of the sunset of the system. The real, deep meaning of what happened is that the power "leaves the contract." The agreement was terminated in connection with the onset of force majeure circumstances-the beginning of the war with the West with all the ensuing consequences. This is much more serious than the suddenly wearing a piece of attractive property that had been needed (it was before-than Gutseriev or Ismailov better (worse) Yevtushenkov). This is an unambiguous signal to all the rich and influential: the relations with the authorities that were before, will not have any more oligarchy. This is a revolution, children.
The time of "arbitrariness for others" ends. A new time begins - "arbitrariness for everyone." Navalny will not be bored under his house arrest. His world and the world of Yevtushenkov finally crossed. In general, now many will find that they live with a bulk on the same planet, and not in different galaxies. Chaadaev’s famous words that in Russia are all slaves, underestimated. The stress here must be made on the word "all." The principle of “loyalty in exchange for privileges” seems to begin to fail. Power now requires just loyalty. The circle of persons who remain privileges is sharply reduced and limited by individual representatives of Russian law enforcement agencies.
But the security forces will soon be hard. The problem of lack of money will not bypass them. You do not have to be clairvoyant in order to predict that, when exacerbated by a budget deficit, the state will not be able to look through the huge budget holes anymore, which are hearing numerous “curators” of all kinds of businesses, banks, programs from uniform management of the economic security service and related divisions. Evtushenkov began, but it will not end. Ahead of Russia awaits such hard clan wars that Serdyukov with his angels will seem like a light snack in front of a large and dense lunch. And so it will continue until the exhausted, bloodless and exhausted Russian elite finally realizes that the “legal state” is not a whim of liberals. It just costs cheaper than the war of everyone against all ...
