In the next one and a half to two years, it is necessary to increase the competitiveness of the real sector of the economy. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the State Council for the development of domestic business, the Kremlin press service reports .
To do this, according to Putin, you will have to make a "real jerk." The solution of these problems depends not only on the government, but also on the subjects of the Federation, he emphasized.
All the efforts of the federal and regional authorities should be aimed at developing the real sector, Putin said. The key condition for this, he called the availability of loans. The government was instructed to work out the issues of reducing the level of levels of interest rates for lending to industrial enterprises, including through project financing, he noted.
Secondly, it is necessary to develop the infrastructure, Putin said. To do this, you need to use the tools of public-private partnership as widely as possible. Thirdly, the training of qualified specialists for the real sector is needed.
Putin called the sanctions against Russia politicized and violating the basic principles of the WTO. "We understand that there are things that are apparently more important for our partners than the normal state of the world economy. God is a judge, this is their decision," the president said.
The response measures taken by Russia are caused by the desire to punish someone or affect the decisions made, Putin emphasized. They are introduced to solve the problems of development and to protect their producers and their markets from unfair competition.
On August 25, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev in an article for the newspaper Vedomosti said that Russia entered the negative stage of the economic cycle . “Lack of demand is now an essential barrier that prevents the restoration of steady growth. Under these conditions, a decrease in government spending will even more increase negative trends in the economy, which, in turn, will not significantly improve fiscal positions,” Ulyukaev wrote.
According to him, stagnation in the Russian economy, observed since 2012, is a consequence of primarily not an unfavorable world conjuncture and not even geopolitical changes, but the weaknesses of the Russian economy. “I must admit that with the quality of the institutions that we have, it is impossible to significantly improve the entrepreneurial climate, to interest investors,” the mayor is sure.
