
On October 15, in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory performed by the Del Barrio ensemble (Argentina-Italia) and the chamber choir of the Moscow Conservatory, the Creole Mass and the Christmas of the Lord Argentine composer Ariel Ramirez.
The collector of folklore, the researcher of folk music of Latin America, Ariel Ramirez (1921–2010) is known in Russia primarily as the author of the essay “La Peregrinación” from the cantata for the Christmas Hero Choir ( Navidad Nuestra , 1964), which has been playing for many years in the screech of the “animals” TV shows.
Based on the traditional rhythms “Creole Criolla ” for tenor, mixed choir, percussion, piano and folk instruments, Ramirez wrote in 1963–64. Among the performers of this work were Mercedes Sosa and Jose Carreras.
In 2011, fragments of the “Creole Mass” were first sounded in the Cathedral of St. Peter in the Vatican during the worship of the Pope Benedict XVI. The Moscow Premiere of the Creole Massa took place in November 2013 performed by the Chamber Choir Vladimir Minin.
In addition, in the concert program on October 15 , the works of Astora Pyazzolla and the head of the Del Barrio ensemble Hilario Baggini.
The concert will be attended by a counterattack Maximiliano Banos and the chamber choir of the Moscow Conservatory (artistic director Alexander Solovyov).
