The sports version of the new Lada Vesta sedan will go on free sale, said AvtoVAZ President Bu Andersson.
As Autonews recalls, AvtoVAZ presented at the Moscow Auto Show the racing version of Lada Vesta, which will participate in the WTCC championship. The presentation of the novelty was attended by Lada teams Rob Huff and James Thompson. For the first time, the car should go to the racing highway next year. Under the hood of a sports car, a 500 horsepower engine is installed.
Andersson said that the company is developing another version of the car: "In addition to the Racing version of Lada Vesta (created to participate in WTCC), AvtoVAZ will also produce a civilian version of a sports car." There are no details about the "hot" Vesta in open sale yet.
The WTCC version, among other things, is distinguished by expanded wheeled arches, a large anti -wing, front spoiler and reinforced brakes.
