Hermit Agafya Lykova received gifts from the Kuzbass authorities for the winter

Agafya Lykova, the only survivor hermit from the Old Believers, accepted on the eve of officials and police officers of the Kemerovo region. They arrived in the taiga by helicopter in order to strip wood and transfer warm things and products to her, the police report, which quotes the Internet publication of Sib.fm on Friday.

The Kemerovo governor Aman Tuleyev, who could not personally visit his old familiar, sent a hermit through his assistants cereals, warm things and animal food.

The officials were accompanied by the police of the Kuzbass Linear Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who were driving Agafier Lykova magazines “Police of Russia” and “The Law on Transport” with her photographs taken during last year’s meeting, as well as a watermelon from the head of the Kuzbass police of Nikolai Krotovsky.

During the meeting, the guests helped the hermit prepare firewood for the winter. Agafya Lykova and the hunter, Erofei Sedov, who was living in the neighborhood, said that they were worried about a bear who wanders around the bickens. They scare the animal with a ringing of an empty bucket.

“Otherwise, Agafya Karpovna does not complain about life: he is in a vigorous mood, fishing, to move closer to people is still not going to,” the participants in the visit said.

Agafier Lykova will soon turn 70 years old. Her family left the persecution in the taiga in 1937 and lived in isolation from the outside world for 40 years until a group of geologists stumbled upon their borrowing. In this group there was Erofei Sedov. After the death of father, Karp Iosifovich Lykov, the older brothers Dimitri and Savvin, as well as the sisters of Natalia Agafya, remained the only representative of the Old Believer family.
