Shokhin discussed with Medvedev the arrest of Yevtushenkov

The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Alexander Shokhin, discussed with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev arrest the chairman of the Board of Directors of the AFK System Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Interfax reports.

Shokhin explained that he discussed with Medvedev procedural norms and participants in the discussion came to two conclusions: “The first is that the court should still make decisions and the second-some kind of house arrest can really be changed.” The head of the RSPP said that many entrepreneurs are ready to support the initiative to change the preventive measures.

Earlier, Shokhin said that the head of the AFC Sistema, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, uses a mobile phone: “The fact that he had a telephone connection means that the Investigative Committee will not insist, apparently, at home arrest.”

On September 16, Vladimir Yevtushenkov was placed under house arrest. On the same day, the former head of Bashneft, Ural Rakhimov, was put on the wanted list. Businessmen are accused of illegal privatization of Bashkir TEK enterprises, which are currently part of the Bashneft.
