Chosen curators of Berlin Biennale

The Institute of Contemporary Art of Kunterka (KW) announced curators of the IX Berlin Biennale of Modern Art, which will be held in the summer of 2016.

According to The Art Newspaper Russia , the Biennale will be supervised by the art group DIS from New York. It was chosen by an international jury, which includes independent curators and director of museums of contemporary art, says Artnet .

There are four artists in the DIS group: Loren Boyle, Solomon Chase, Marco Roso and David Toro. They began their career in 2010 with the Internet magazine Dis Magazine , and later their activities were seized by many different media and platforms.

Currently, artists not only organize exhibitions in museums (for example, Probio in 2013 in the New York Museum of Contemporary Art), but also continue to develop online projects.

Berlin Biennale of Contemporary Art was founded in 1998 by the Institute of Contemporary Art of Kunterka and is funded by the German Federal Culture Fund. The curator of the previous Berlin Biennale (2014) was Juan Gaitan (Columbia-Canada), in 2012 , the Russian group “War” was among the souvenrators of Biennale.
