Poroshenko presented the program "Strategy 2020"

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a special press conference in Kyiv presented the program of reform "Strategy 2020". This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

According to Poroshenko, the very existence of the Ukrainian state depends on the success of the reform of the political and economic systems. 100 days ago, a team of Ukrainian experts began to develop this reform plan. “I have identified eight priority areas in it,” the president said.

Among the priorities, the president called judicial and anti -corruption reforms, law enforcement reform, decentralization and reform of public administration, tax reform, deregulation and development of entrepreneurship, reform of the security and defense system. "To this, I would add two more special urgent programs: the energy dependence of our state and the further popularization of Ukraine in the world," Poroshenko said.

The essence of the reforms is that instead of bad, dishonest, unequal rules to create good, honest and fair, the president emphasized. "The new rules will not earn anywhere and never, if there is no unbiased instance that will impartially supervise their compliance," Poroshenko noted. He also emphasized that the reform should precede the radical renewal of the bureaucratic corps.

The law on the special status of some areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions fits into the previously declared course for decentralization of the authorities, Poroshenko noted. "There is no law on the special status of Donbass. It is only about the law on the special regime of local self -government in the Donbass," he said.

Poroshenko noted that the local authorities "will not have any rights to appoint the prosecutor's office. Prosecutors will be appointed in the center and we will consult with the local authorities." In addition, according to the president, "the issue of the police will be implemented under the Law on the Police of Ukraine."

Poroshenko also said that the head of his administration Boris Lozhkin regularly calls his Russian colleague Sergei Ivanov to ensure a truce in the Donbass. “I can reveal the content of negotiations that, well, if not every day, then they spend Lozhkin and Ivanov every day. If we cannot achieve a ceasefire through the General Staff, when political intervention is needed, then Boris Lozhkin, the head of my administration, calls Sergei Ivanov, the head of the Putin administration,” said Poroshenko. Poroshenko also said that he would meet in Europe with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the next three weeks. The meeting will be held in a multilateral format, but bilateral consultations are not excluded.
