Adobe eliminates representative office in Russia

Adobe Corporation eliminates its representative office in Russia - the company "ADODUS Systems". This was reported by "Vedomosti" with reference to the corresponding notification on the website of the Federal Tax Service submitted on September 16. In this environment, the subsidiary of the corporation was removed from tax accounting.

Information about the departure of Adobe from Russia by the newspaper was confirmed by the representative of the Corporation Matvey Kireev. Adobe products and services, he said, Russians will now be able to purchase through the company's website, as well as with reseller.

According to the publication, this week it became known that the Ministry of Communications wants to form a special fund for the development of domestic software, obliging the developers to transfer up to 10 percent of the revenue from sales of their products in the country to this structure. When asked whether the liquidation of the Russian representative office will allow to avoid payment of contributions to this fund, Matveev, however, refused to answer.

Meanwhile, another source of the newspaper, close to the corporation, did not exclude that there are other reasons for the departure of Adobe from Russia. Firstly, he explained, due to the introduced sanctions, the company broke several transactions in Russia. Secondly, Adobe is not ready to enter into force the law, which orders from September 1, 2016 to store the personal data of Russians only on servers located in Russia.
