© Channel OneToday, September 29, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow decided to be detained until January 11, 2015, Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov, accused of preparing terrorist attacks.

On May 11, Oleg Sentsov was detained in Simferopol and transported to Moscow, he is contained in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center. On May 30, the Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia announced that Sentsov, as part of the diversion-terrorist group of the Right Sector ( an organization prohibited in the Russian Federation ) prepared terrorist attacks in Yalta and Sevastopol, undermining the monument to Lenin, and the destruction of infrastructure facilities.
The director insists on his innocence and claims that he was not a participant in the “Right Sector”, and all evidence against him is the testimony of other detainees, who, according to him, promised the mitigation of punishment.
On July 7, the Lefortovo court extended the detention of Sentsov for three months, until October 11, referring to the need to conduct a number of examinations, the search for other participants in the Sentsov community, as well as the fact that he refused to pass biological samples, which complicated the investigation.
The director of the director was made by European filmmakers and the Russian cinema union , in support of Oleg Sentsov. At the end of June, President of the Moscow International Film Festival Nikita Mikhalkov supported the appeal of the head of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine Sergey Tribach to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with a request to promote the liberation of Oleg Sentsov.
