In the summer of 2014, 273 applications were registered, from which five winners were selected:
Also, the Garage Museum extends grants to the 2013 scholarships to Ivan Gorshkov (Voronezh) and Evgeny Gorlshchikov (Moscow).
The program was established in 2012 with the aim of comprehensive support for young Russian artists. The program scholarships represent various directions of contemporary art: videoart, photography, performance, painting, street art. The priority qualities in the choice of the candidate were the extraordinary thinking, work with new materials and forms, the persuasiveness and logic of artistic solutions.
The next receiving applications will be held in the summer of 2015. On the basis of an open competition from artists, applications are accepted, then according to the results of the selection, the expert jury determines the winners who receive a monthly scholarship of 20,000 rubles during the year.
The grants program helps authors aged 18 to 35 gain financial independence and direct their creative resources to the development of professional skills and expand the field of research interests. The scholarships are actively involved in various programs in the framework of the educational and exhibition activities of the Garage.
