Urlashov was left under arrest for three months

The Moscow City Court extended for three months the term of detention of the mayor of Yaroslavl Evgeny Urlashov, the interfax reports. In accordance with the application of the investigation, the accused will remain in custody until January 3, 2015. The defense was refused the request to release him on bail of 15 million rubles.

Currently, Yevgeny Urlashov, his former deputy Dmitry Donskov and adviser Alexei Lopatin get acquainted with the materials of the criminal case. The former mayor of Yaroslavl and his deputy are accused of attempted bribery on especially large sizes, in addition, Evgeny Urlashov was charged with receiving a bribe, and his adviser to Alexei Lopatin - in mediation upon receipt of a bribe.

According to investigators, the mayor of Yaroslavl and his subordinates in 2012-2013 extorted a bribe from the amount of 14 million rubles from the amount transferred to the company to the work of the work performed. At the same time, in case of failure to fulfill the requirements, the defendants repeatedly threatened that they would not pay money for work under the next contract. In addition, in the same period, Evgeny Urlashov allegedly received a bribe of 30 million rubles from the director of one of the companies.

Evgeny Urlashov has been in custody since July 3, 2013. He may face a punishment of imprisonment for up to 12 years.
