The fate of Bolvan

In Kharkov, a monument to Lenin was thrown off the pedestal. The bronze boob stood fifty years and, in essence, did not interfere with anyone. The absence of a bronze black on the pedestal also did not affect the daily life of the Kharkiv residents. What is the monument to Lenin, what is not worth it.

However, there were people in Kharkov who did not have a more important and more urgent business than to lose the monument. And there were people for whom there was nothing more important that day than to protect the monument and then mourn. And all day Ukrainian politicians kept repeating about this monument, as if there are no more pressing problems in Ukraine. And Russian politicians also insisted about the monument, as if there are no more important things in Russia. And the journalists filled their newspaper stripes and their television broadcasts with a monument. As if winter is not close and there are no problems with heat. As if there are no interruptions in medicines for seriously ill people, including children. As if there is no war in the neighboring region. Know to yourself: Lenin, Lenin.

I believe that whenever people dump any monument, this necessarily means that people's brains are busy with meaningless nonsense and lacks, therefore, brains for a really important matter.

In August 91, Dzerzhinsky in Moscow, for example, is told about the demolition of the monument to Dzerzhinsky in Moscow. After defending the White House and having achieved the triumph of democracy, people of goodwill rushed to the KGB building on Lubyanka for a very reasonable goal - to gut the archives. If people then revealed the archives then, the country would not remain the same, could not now return to its Soviet state. No one could stop such a crowd that day. But the crowd was carried away by a monument, a stone boob, standing in the middle of the square. Someone smart and prompted the crowd to this idea-to throw off a stone adversity. They say that the lifting crane for the dismantling of Dzerzhinsky was then driven by Vasily Shakhnovsky, who worked at the city hall. They say that the leadership of the KGB was so grateful to Shakhnovsky for this lifting crane, which, then, during the Yukos case, he had gathered a term of up to one year and released him to Switzerland. The crowd enthusiastically dropped the monument from the pedestal, and from the building opposite the archive they evacuated. And now how much important now we do not know, but could we know?

About the same stupidity took place in Baghdad, when a monument to Saddam Hussein was dropped from the pedestal. Further events showed that the Iraqis had a business and more important that day.

But no - they dropped a monument.

Whenever people dump from some pedestal of some copper or stone boob, I think that they themselves are boiled. At a heavy hour, they are occupied by stupid revenge by a wordless and harmless statues and, therefore, do not do anything useful: they do not rebuild anything destroyed, do not erect anything new, do not feed anyone hungry, do not warm anyone frozen, do not teach any ignoramus, do not treat any patient, do not know anything important about themselves. Bolovan and eat.
