Peskov: The boundaries will not close

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called absurd a discussion of the possible closure of borders and the restriction of Russians in the right to go abroad. He said this to the "Russian News Service".

"The absurdity of this survey does not require any answer," Peskov said.

Thus, the spokeswoman commented on a survey of the Levada Center regarding the prospects for the return of the Iron Curtain, the results of which were published on Tuesday. According to their data, 49 percent of the respondents are sure that the authorities will further limit the right to leave. The fact that this will not be done is said by 22 percent of Russians, 29 percent of the answer found it difficult.

At the same time, 28 percent of Russians consider it appropriate to restrict departure for certain categories of citizens. More than half (55 percent) consider such restrictions as unacceptable
