In Ukraine, the “struggle” continues with monuments to Lenin. Only recently in the Kharkov region two monuments were damaged , and one of them had clashes between nationalists and people who demanded to restore the stone Ilyich. The "relay" from Kharkov took "Krivoy Rog (Dnepropetrovsk region) and Severodonetsk (Lugansk).
In the Luhansk region, the authorities demolished a bust of Lenin after a few days ago they put a car tire on him and set fire to him. Due to the incident, Kamenny Ilyich was burned with paint and his nose fell off. It is possible that the monument will be repaired and returned to its place.
However, what the authorities will do with the burned Lenin is still unknown, the publication "Today in Severodonetsk" reports. The journalist writes that "the bust is made of short -lived materials" and "there are doubts that it will be able to restore it." The monument was established in 1951.
In Krivoy Rog, the monument was thrown on the night of September 2. It is reported by "First Kryvyi Rih" . Locals wanted to demolish the sculpture a month ago and announced their actions - as a result, at the time they specified, a police cordon met them at the monument. Then the activists demanded that the city authorities demolish Ilyich for ten days, but they did not do this. This time, journalists note, "Lenin fell without noise and dust."
It is not known who and when the monument fell. The incident was also reported on the page "Krivius RIG ACTIME OF THE DICTUTURIA " VKontakte " . “The morning does not begin with coffee,” the publication says. The “first Krivorozhsky” reports that the chief of staff of the national protection of Krivoy Rog Nikolai Kolesnik on his Facebook page wrote about the incident at 02:45 in the night. In the morning, public utilities quickly removed the fallen sculpture.
Earlier in Krivoy Rog, Lenin was already falling. In February of this year, this happened at the House of Culture "Metallurg", recalls 0564.ua.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, commenting on the fall of Lenin in Kharkov, which many watched live on the Internet, said that "if only people would not suffer." If only this bloody communist idol, leaving, did not add victims to himself. If only the villains and scoundrels did not use the storms of the Kharkiv’s emotions, did not use this for the next clashes, ”the minister noted . However, it was reported that one of those who fell a monument received an eye injury. Kharkov mayor Gennady Kernes promised to restore the monument.
Similar incidents previously took place in many cities of Ukraine. In Mariopol, for example, a criminal case was brought up with hooliganism on the fact of what happened.
