EcoWatch activist sentenced to 8 days of administrative arrest

Tatyana Borisova, an activist of the Environmental Watch for the North Caucasus, who was detained tonight, was sentenced to eight days of administrative arrest for an alleged violation of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

As OVD-Info was informed, the judge on duty Oleg Ustinov rejected the request to invite a lawyer and did not call a witness for the defense.

Borisova will most likely serve the term appointed by the court in the special detention center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Krasnodar.
