The season of Stanislavsky is opening

Today, October 3, the performance of the Japanese playwright and director of Tosiki Okada in Moscow opens the X International Theater Festival “Stanislavsky season”.

The performances created by directors from Belgium, Lithuania, Japan, Italy, Great Britain and Russia will be shown at the Chekhov Moscow Medical School, the Luna Theater, the Pushkin Theater, the Lenkom, the Mayakovsky Theater and the Moscow Theater of the Young Spectators, TASS reports.

Also in the international program “Stanislavsky’s season” Improvisation of the Italian director of Pippo Delbono “Henry V” with the participation of Russian actors, created by Shakespeare's texts, the “Book of Job” by the Lithuanian director Aimuntas Nyakoshus, the “Platonov” of the Belgian director Luke Perseval.

In addition, the festival will show the work of the directors of theaters in Moscow. Among them, the performance of Mark Zakharov “Heavenly Wanderers”, the tragifars “Smugus” Gleb Cherepanov, the performance based on the play by Marus Ivashkeavichyus “Kant”.

The new production of the Vishnevoy Garden, created by Leo Dodin, will close the “Stanislavsky season” on December 18. The performance is played by Ksenia Rappoport, Danila Kozlovsky, Elizabeth Boyarskaya.
