Theater on October 7 was canceled

For technical reasons, the lecture of Fedor Uspensky planned in Proscience/Theater on October 7 and the presentation of the book of memoirs and stories “Return to Moscow” will not be held.

Lecture of the Doctor of Philological Sciences Fedor Uspensky “Ancient Rus'. Power and name ”and a creative evening with the participation of Irina Golovinskaya and Andrei Biljo are planned as part of the Public Lectures festival“ Polit.ru ”, which will be held in November-December 2014.

The lecture of Fedor Uspensky will be devoted to the principles of adults in ancient Rus', the problems of the name, power and the throne of the dynastic names as the private and collective property of the Russian princes Rurikovich.

Andrei Biljo and Irina Golovinskaya will present a collection of stories, memoirs and historical evidence “Return to Moscow”, and will also talk about their participation in the project, share memories of the capital and read out excerpts of the works included in the collection.

Fedor Uspensky - Doctor of Philology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Slavic Studies, and. O. Head of the Department of Typology and Comparative Linguistics, Head of the Center for Slavic-German Research, Leading Researcher at the Scientific and Educational Laboratory of Medieval Research of the NIU-VSE, leading researcher at the Institute of Higher Humanitarian Research of the RSUSU. His field of scientific interests includes Scandinavian philology, the history and literature of ancient Scandinavia and Ancient Rus', Slavic-Scandinavian contacts, historical onomastics (dynastic names in Scandinavia and Rus'), as well as the language of poetry of the first half of the twentieth century.

Andrei Biljo is a Russian artist-cartoonist, illustrator, animator, designer, chief artist of the magazine "Shop".
