The former head of the administration of the Ust-Vovsky district, Mustafa Makhmudov, is accused of abuse of his powers

Employees of the Republican prosecutor’s office found that in 2011-2012 he illegally leased to the merchants two land plots with a total area of 14 hectares located near the village of Shezham. At the same time, the ex-official did not have the right to do this, since the right to manage plots as federal property belonged to the Federal Property Management Agency.
In addition, these lands were intended for agricultural work. Instead, entrepreneurs handed over the obtained lands to the sublease to firms that built the Ukhta -Torzhok main gas pipeline. As a result, entrepreneurs received income over 33 million rubles for the use of land.
In addition to this, agricultural lands as a result of the unauthorized overlap of the fertile layer of the soil, according to the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor in the Komi Republic, caused damage worth more than 60 million rubles.
The prosecutor of the Ust-Vovsky district filed a lawsuit with claims for the demand for land from someone else's illegal possession and assigning the tenants the obligation to bring land to its original position.
Mustafa Makhmudov led the district for more than 10 years. A little over a year ago, he left his post.
