Cannibal Corpse concert is torn in Ufa

The concert of the American Metal Group of Cannibal Corpse in Ufa, appointed on October 5, did not take place-the Agawa club, where it was supposed to be held, closed for technical reasons. Earlier, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church opposed the concert.

On Sunday, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church held a protest against the concert in Ufa. According to the head of the missionary department of Metropolis Vadim Rosenfeld, the clergy ordered a linguistic examination of the texts of Cannibal Corpse . “The posters and texts of the group’s songs are associated with death, violence, rape, perversions, which does not fit into the framework of Russian legislation,” Rosenfeld believes.

“This American group is driven from everywhere in Russia,” says the Bashkir writer Camille Ziganshin. -Despite appeals, tickets for this horror are still sold. The lyrics of the songs of this group contain a call for murder, are saturated with propaganda of cruelty, permeated by the occult ideas of communication with the spiritual sources of evil. ”

The previous Cannibal Corpse concert in Krasnodar was under the threat of cancellation due to the appeal of the Orthodox Union public organization, which demanded to test the group’s work and prohibit its performance. However, the prosecutor's office of the Karasunsky district of Krasnodar did not find in her songs of extremism and inciting religious growth.

Cannibal Corpse will continue their Russian tour in Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg, and will complete it on October 11 and 12 concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
