On September 20, a fight in a cafe occurred in mineral waters. The victim was taken to the hospital. Soon, several dozen people broke there, who had scored a local resident Anatoly Larionov to his death. His acquaintance Ruslan Abdulzhalilov and nurse Nina of the machine also suffered. On suspicion of complicity in the attack, six people were arrested, six more were put on the wanted list.
After that, several inconsistent popular gatherings took place in the city. Residents demanded the detention of participants in the fight and resignation of local leadership. Units of riot police were introduced into mineral waters. All entrances to the city are blocked, reinforced police detachments are on duty at the block.
According to activists, more than 40 young people were detained before the national gathering on Saturday. The detentions took place under various pretexts, including due to supposedly unpaid fines. Nevertheless, on Sunday, several thousand people gathered again on the central square of the city. The square was surrounded by riot police in full combat vestments. However, there were no clashes of protesters with the police.
In July 2013, in the city of Pugachev, the Saratov Region occurred folk unrest after the murder of a demobilized paratrooper Ruslan Marzhanov. As the TFR reported, the 17-year-old native of Chechnya Ali Nazirov, along with three adult cousins, provoked a fight with 20-year-old Marzhanov. During the fight, the paratrooper received 17 stab wounds with medical scalpel, from which he soon died in the hospital.
The murder of Marzhanov led to large -scale unrest in Pugachev , which lasted several days. Locals demanded that the authorities expel all Chechens outside the district. During the unrest, the townspeople overlapped the Volgograd - Samara federal highway several times.
