Mokhnatkin was released

This was reported to the Open Russia community by his lawyer Ksenia Kostromina. On September 19, 2014, the Tverskoy Court sent Sergei Mokhnatkin to an inpatient forensic psychiatric examination. Specialists of the Serbsky Center were supposed to find out what mental state Mokhnatkin was in on December 31, 2013, when, according to investigators, he used violence against policemen at a rally on Triumfalnaya Square. In connection with the decision of the Tverskoy Court, Mokhnatkin went on a hunger strike. It is reported that this morning the examination was completed and Mokhnatkin was allowed to go home.

On October 6, 2014, Mokhnatkin's lawyer Karinna Moskalenko filed a complaint with the ECtHR regarding Mokhnatkin's detention in the hospital. Mokhnatkin's detention period expired on September 25, 2014. Moskalenko stated: “By sending Sergei Mokhnatkin for a psychiatric examination at the Serbsky Center, the authorities claim that since September 23, 2014, he has not been in custody, since he has been ‘deescorted’. But is this statement true? In a complaint to Strasbourg, Moskalenko, explaining what the Serbsky Center is, comes to the conclusion that “since September 22, 2014 he has been in a closed prison-type institution,” although the period of his detention has expired.
