Monetization of the annexation

The Central Bank released 10-ruble coins in honor of the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol. This was reported by the press service of the institution. Coins "Crimea" and "Sevastopol" are made of suburgical metals; From which ones, the Central Bank does not specify. The circulation of each of the coins is 10 million pieces.

In early July, the State Duma deputy from the LDPR, Roman Khudyakov, sent a letter to the Chairman of the Central Bank with a demand to remove the image of the Apollo statue with undisguised genital organs on the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow or put the 18+ marking on it. Zhirinovets proposed to replace the ancient god on the bill with the sights of Sevastopol .

The first deputy chairman of the Central Bank Georgy Luntovsky, however, rejected Khudyakov’s proposal .

Earlier, the LDPR faction proposed to issue a commemorative bill with a dignity of 10 thousand rubles in honor of the annexation of Crimea, but the Central Bank did not approve this initiative.
