The Ministry of Health of Macedonia believes that the Briton died in Skopier not from Ebola, but alcohol poisoning

Representatives of the Ministry of Health of Macedonia do not exclude that the death of the British, who died on Thursday in the clinic of infectious diseases in Skopje, could come as a result of alcohol poisoning, and not from the disease caused by Ebola virus. This was announced today by the head of the department for the prevention of infectious diseases, Jovanka Kostovskaya.

According to her, the Ministry of Health also does not exclude the possibility that a deceased British subject suffered from a gastric disease or liver disease, TASS reports.

At the same time, the representative of the department emphasized that "although the symptoms detected in the deceased and indicate the Ebola virus, according to the corresponding epidemiological analyzes, the likelihood that we are talking about a dangerous disease, small."

The official results of the study of the samples taken at the present moment in Germany will allegedly be announced on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the second Briton, who also lived in the same hotel with the deceased and who was later, was supposedly taken to a hospital with similar symptoms, is currently in this hotel without signs of illness. Hotel guests are now on quarantine and are not able to leave the building.

The girl who recently returned from Nigeria was hospitalized in Kantabria, the north of Spain, with suspicion of infection of Ebola fever, RIA Novosti reports.

The eighteen -year -old patient was in Lagos (Nigeria) from September 9 to 30. On Friday, she turned to the Valdesille hospital in the city of Santander with high temperature. Now she is in isolation, doctors have already taken all the necessary tests and sent them to the Karlos III hospital in Madrid. If necessary, doctors will take a second analysis after 48 hours. Doctors also recommended her mother not to leave home to avoid any contacts.

Meanwhile, the Autonomy Authority leadership believes that the threat of Ebola’s disease is minimal in this case, since from late August Nigeria has not been recorded a single case of transmission of infection from humans to a person.

At the end of September, the Nigeria authorities said that there was not a single "active registered case of the disease" in the country. In total, during the epidemic in Nigeria, 21 cases of infection with the virus were registered, eight people died.

According to the data published on Friday, 4033 people out of almost 8.4 thousand infected have died from Ebola's fever. An effective vaccine against the virus does not yet exist. The most deaths of the fever of Ebola brought Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
