The illegitimate head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, gave residents of the annexed Ukrainian region three months to “voluntarily” hand over the literature recognized in Russia as “extremist”. It is reported by RIA "Novosti".

“Calmly during this period, explanatory work will be carried out on television, a list of literature will be published in the media, which is today prohibited for use in the territory of the Russian Federation,” said the head of the occupation administration.

The term of "voluntary delivery", added Aksenov, will last until the end of the year, when the transition period set during the "integration" of the occupied region in Russia expires. From January 1, 2015, the "extremist" literature will again begin to withdraw security forces, he assured.

Thus, contrary to Aksenov’s statement about three months, in fact, this period will last a little more than two and a half months.

On the eve of the "head" of Crimea at a meeting with the residents of the region who visited Hajj in Mecca and Medina, he announced that he was introducing a temporary moratorium on the removal of "extremist" literature . Russian norms are prohibited by a whole list of books that are distributed freely under Ukrainian laws. After the annexation of the peninsula, the list of these books did not bring to the attention of local residents.

“We will proceed from the fact that we should have a transition period when we must adapt, understand that we are in Russia,” Aksenov noted in this regard.
