- You previously in your work - in the theater or cinema - have you to use Lermontov's texts? And what was the result?

-It happened: it all started with the “Hero of our time”-the first dramatic performance of our course at the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio, it was the 2009/2010 season. For the choice of this work, thanks to the master of the course Kirill Serebrennikov. And the result can be considered, in fact, this tribe :-).

-At the collection of “200 according to the oncoming” there are musicians and stylistics that are difficult to be in the same concert: experimental electronics, thought-metal, cabaret, opera singing and academic minimalism. What did you want to achieve? Would Lermontov like it?

- Different poems are different states, in different states different people listen to different music. It could only be a multi -gamble, but, of course, I myself was surprised at such cheerful extremes. Whether Mikhail would like it, I don’t know, but it seems to me that his eternal spirit would not have allowed this release to take place if he had not succeeded in something. It is important that this was an attempt by an honest experiment: that is, if all the musicians suddenly sent only minimal-techno, then there would be a minimal-techno collection.

- What musicians refused to participate in the collection and how did they argue?

- There are a great many of them, since we invited everyone we could in a hurry to remember. The main reason is the deadlines, but there were exceptions: the Leningrad group, for example, did not like the idea of ​​popularizing the classics, they answered: "Lermontov is good without it." We, however, were not going to refute this judgment, "thank you, Cap." It is much more pleasant that many artists liked the undertaking, some of them were even sincerely inspired by: Nike Borzov, Grimes , Ivan Dorn, Valery Leontyev, Diana Arbenina, Vasya Oblomov, The Blackfires , Sati Casanova and others. There were cases when we ourselves did not miss the "raw" songs from good musicians. So there is a reason to think about collection No. 2 - so that certainly everything has time.

- Who would you never offer anything, because they are “Anthillermont in spirit”?

- Never and for nothing? There are no such, we are all people. I just wanted this collection as honestly reflecting the picture of the independent music of Russia outside the categories “famous/unknown”, “Like/dislike”, “Lermontov/Anthillermontovsky”. Type of "album of our time", or something :-).

- There should be a hit on the album, but better and not one; What are the songs in the collection “200 according to the oncoming”, in your opinion, are potential hits?

- For me, all the songs of the collection are hits: we strove for each composition to look perfectly on its own. But for the subject of pop vulnerability, I will probably note, probably, three songs.

1) Reading the poem "Star" in the original, I eagerly and violently yawned after each line. What Sasha Fedosyuk did with him from the Gerrineldo Melkiades group, I think, is worthy of the medal "For Courage" and the prize "For promoting art to the masses." Damn, I do not like the word "masses".

2) Also, it is nice to leave after listening a free poetic reflection on the theme of the “demon”-the song “Aggel” (precisely with the double “G”) of the St. Petersburg group “Thebes”: a mixture of depeche Mode and Viktor Tsoi with female vocals, which are clearly coming from somewhere in the afterlife.

3) Well, of course, I don’t want to part with the megaphazhnya “Come on-come-go” from Roma V.P.r. and "Festival of everything in the world." By the way, you were not surprised that Pushkin completes compilation ?? :-))) This is the idea of ​​the guys from the Festival: such as in school, a comparative analysis of two “prisoners”-them and Makarova.

- Why is the album dedicated to Lermontov is called the same as the album of Tattoos? What are you hinting at?

- I will list several arguments. This is a conscious citation of a recognizable phrase with an updated meaning (the Tattoos group was not about age); An elegant joke over official headlines: Lermontov is not a two -hundred -year -old old man, but a young twenty -six -year -old guy who really wanted everything to be fine and creates 200 km/h for this, without understanding whether this is a strip that is oncoming, that is, the name emphasizes the poet’s truth, uncomfortable for society and objectionable to the regime; Well, a sailboat, frantically driven by the wind along the oncoming lane of the asphalt road, is just strong. - Three “comic disclosures” of your composition that are found on the album require special explanations - how did they turn out and why are they needed?

- They play the role of through lily (this is more beautiful than the “through line”). Although, of course, only the figure of the birthday person is truly binded by the album. The “discharge” was composed themselves, I simply mechanically selected a poetic size for a slightly rewriting for the course performance mentioned above, an excerpt from the old radio program “Soviet Morning Gymnastics”. All three poems belong to one period - 1832-1833 - and are filled with the most important bile, which seemed to be not accepted once again in the work of the poet.

- Tell us about the second version of the Sail, recorded with Jan Ge in Chinese, - how did you translate it and why?

-I asked my colleague for Gogol Center-Chinese actress Jan Ge to translation of Lermontov into a native language and compose a song; She chose a “sail”, and then we suddenly formed the concept of a naive thrash theater with an equilibrium yang-company of verses and refreshments :-). Unfortunately, it was not possible to find the name of the translator. Why did we make this song? Of course, cultural expansion in China.

- Your Lermontov - what is he? What kind of music would he listen to in 2014?

- Everyone has their own Lermontov. Mine, for example, is a direct predecessor of Yegor Letov, who, by the way, is also an anniversary this year. That is, the songs “Eternally” and “Spring” at the beginning of the second part of the collection are not accidentally coming one after another: this is a kind of bow, addressed to one of the brilliant songs of Letov - “Eternal Spring”. So, perhaps, Lermontov would listen, or even wrote texts of “civil defense”. Or maybe he would find a rapture in the atonal music of modern academic composers.
